Silgan Dispensing has introduced its Melodie Pirouette SNI 13 pump, a solution that is designed to enable perfume houses to extend luxury fragrance packaging across a full range of refillable moulded glass formats.
Introduced at Luxe Pack Monaco, the pump sets out to deliver a “customized, portable” luxury experience for on-the-go refilling, Silgan partnered with Groupe Pochet, combining a moulded glass bottle with a 13 mm threaded (screw) neck and a new version of Silgan’s Melodie Pirouette SNI 13 pump, engineered for full compatibility with this threaded-neck finish.
The Melodie Pirouette pump reportedly offers a range of spray experiences from Silgan’s “Emotions of Spray” collection and has been designed and built to withstand frequent and multiple refills over time.
Together, Silgan’s Replay™ Connector refill system and its threaded, removable Melodie Pirouette SNI 13 pump enable the company to expand its portable fragrance refill portfolio beyond glass vials.
The partnership combines the expertise of both Silgan and Groupe Pochet. Groupe Pochet developed the first molded glass bottle with an SNI 13 screw neck, enabling Silgan to customize its Melodie Pirouette SNI 13 pump. A French patent application has been filed for the innovation.
In other news, Aptar Beauty recently launched an all-plastic cosmetic pump is designed to withstand e-commerce deliveries and maximize recyclability in hair and body care applications.
Elsewhere, Unilever and LOLA Madrid have revealed The Axe Holder, a ‘deliberately extravagant’ bottle that plays on consumer perceptions of luxury fragrance packaging versus body spray cans.
