The latest in flexible packaging materials for pharmaceutical applications will be featured by Tekni-Films, a Tekni-Plex business, at PharmaPack Europe, February 6-7, Paris Expo, Porte de Versailles, Paris, Hall 7.2, Booths E58, E60.
Tekni-Films will be discussing its Tekniflex PXA, high-barrier Aclar® (PCTFE) laminated line. This cost-effective, PVC alternative is ideal for pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, probiotics and other related products. EVOH can also be laminated to the structure for additional oxygen barrier.
Tekni-Films will also be highlighting its high, and ultra-high, thermoformable barrier materials, including the Flexapharm SBC series and PVC/Aclar laminates. These structures provide an alternative to cold form foil enabling pharmaceutical companies to use a smaller blister card to contain the same number of tablets or capsules, or increase the count on a same-sized card. The end result is material cost savings all the way through the packaging process, including cartons and cases, as well as improved production efficiencies.
Other PVC-free solutions including custom extrusions such as PP, PP/COC/PP, and other barrier, multilayer coextrusions, are also available.
