Siegwerk launches ink that also acts as oxygen barrier
Siegwerk has launched a new white printing ink that also provides an oxygen barrier – an innovation that aims to combine two layers into one.
The finalists for Paris Packaging Week’s ADF, PCD, and PLD Innovation Awards have been announced, with packaging from the beauty, luxury, premium drinks, and aerosol sectors set to be commemorated in ceremonies on 17th and 18th January.

All finalist entries will be available to view at a dedicated Innovation Awards gallery. Each was selected from a total of over 220 entries by a jury of international experts consisting of brand owners in the aerosol, beauty, and drinks sectors.
Ceremonies announcing the winners will take place during Paris Packaging Week and will be open to all visitors. The PCD Innovation Awards will commence at 15:30 on Wednesday 17th January on the Circular Economy Stage. On Thursday 18th January, the PLD Innovation Awards will take place at 11:00 at the Future Innovation Forum, and the ADF Innovation Awards will be held at 14:00 at the Global Aerosol & Dispensing Summit.

The standard of entries this year was extremely high, and narrowing those entries down into this year’s shortlist was incredibly difficult.
“It means we’re proud to present a truly exciting collection of innovations that illustrate the key trends in packaging development today. It’s an inspiring group of packaging innovations and will be a must-see part of this year’s Paris Packaging Week.”

Back in November 2023, the winners of Pentawards 2023 were announced at a Gala Ceremony at Magazine. Pro-recycling messaging implemented into the packaging design and the prioritization of interactivity and sustainability in the unboxing process were recurring themes amongst the winning entries.
We also announced the winners of the Sustainability Awards 2023 at the Sustainable Packaging Summit in Amsterdam. This year’s Summit will take place between 12th and 13th November 2024, with submissions for the Awards opening on 15th January.
