With a constant focus on product optimisation, Glud & Marstrand has invested in a new production line for manufacturing Loose ends for 93x47 LM Cans.

The new end is die curled, which ensures a considerably more consistent quality, something that should in turn lead to a decline in the demand for adjustments of handling and seaming equipment.

Furthermore, the company has changed the type of compound and the method of applying it, ensuring that the compound will be applied with great precision to ensure consistent quality. The new compound contains synthetic rubber but is still water based.

The customer end will be launched in mid-2017, but have already been sent to a number of customers for tests. It will not be necessary for the company's customers to change or replace the seaming equipment when converting from the existing end to the new end.
