# MCC Verstraete and Pagès Group’s Molded Fiber Labeling to apply paper labels to round fibre moulded packs

[**MCC Verstraete**](https://verstraete.mcclabel.com/en?ref=packaging-europe.ghost.io) **and** [**Pagès Group**](https://www.pagesgroup.net/?ref=packaging-europe.ghost.io) **will be showing their Molded Fiber Labeling (MFL) technology at interpack 2023, with live demonstrations of its application of paper labels to round fibre moulded tubs.**

With MFL, labels can be fused to wet or dry fibre moulded packaging rather than relying on adhesives – a development that aims to facilitate the production of fully recyclable or compostable solutions. At interpack, [Kiefel](https://www.kiefel.com/en?gclid=CjwKCAjw8-OhBhB5EiwADyoY1aAVbkkvRzMS3YLUAy5P4t3F4lb4VpWrZx6sibc%5FTRfhSaIrs66ggRoCb50QAvD%5FBwE&ref=packaging-europe.ghost.io) will provide the fibre technology for the round tubs to which MFL will be applied to round fibre moulded containers in a ‘world premiere’ of the technology being utilised in this way.

Fellow attendees Kiefel, [Rottneros](https://www.rottneros.com/?ref=packaging-europe.ghost.io), [Hébert Group](https://www.hebert-group.com/default-fr.htm?ref=packaging-europe.ghost.io), and [Bordex Packaging](https://www.bordexpackaging.com/?ref=packaging-europe.ghost.io) will apparently exhibit their own MFL label applications. Furthermore, MCC Verstraete’s SealPPeel die-cut lidding will appear at [Profol](https://www.profol.de/en/?ref=packaging-europe.ghost.io)’s booth, while [Illig](https://www.illig.de/en-de?ref=packaging-europe.ghost.io) and [Otto Hofstetter](https://www.otto-hofstetter.swiss/en/?ref=packaging-europe.ghost.io) will feature solutions for Thermoforming IML and Injection Molding, respectively.

Alongside Hébert Group and [PulPac](https://www.pulpac.com/?ref=packaging-europe.ghost.io), MCC Verstraete and Pagès Group [commercialised](https://packagingeurope.com/news/pulpac-hebert-group-mcc-verstraete-and-pages-group-aim-to-improve-recyclability-of-fibre-based-packaging-with-moulded-fibre-labelling/8917.article?ref=packaging-europe.ghost.io) MFL technology last year with the aim of increasing the recyclability and biodegradability of fibre-based packaging while maintaining the quality of its decoration.

Also at interpack this year are [UPM Specialty Papers](https://www.upmspecialtypapers.com/?ref=packaging-europe.ghost.io) and [Henkel](https://www.henkel.com/?ref=packaging-europe.ghost.io) with their recyclable, heat-sealable [barrier paper material](https://packagingeurope.com/news/upm-specialty-papers-and-henkel-join-forces-on-new-heat-sealable-barrier-paper-concept/9659.article?ref=packaging-europe.ghost.io). It is hoped that this solution will enhance grease resistance while fitting into existing packaging lines.

Additionally, [MULTIVAC](https://multivac.com/int/en?ref=packaging-europe.ghost.io)’s small and medium-sized [batch packing solutions](https://packagingeurope.com/news/multivac-to-focus-on-compact-packaging-solutions-at-interpack/9503.article?ref=packaging-europe.ghost.io) and complete processing and packing lines for food products will be on display.
